This holiday season join the City of Canton with numerous free and festive events downtown. We all know that Canton is the Best Place to Live in Georgia, but around the holidays our community really shines! Check out these holiday events that are available for free and help raise money for numerous great causes.
Love Lights A Tree-Friday, Nov. 28
It’s widely been accepted that the day after Thanksgiving is the first official shopping day for Christmas, and this year, the day after Thanksgiving marks one of Canton’s events that we wanted to share with you. Cannon Park and the American Cancer Society will be lighting a Christmas tree. Ornaments may be purchased in honor of a loved one. Live entertainment will be provided by Daily Bread and Academy of Dance Arts. Santa Claus will even make a guest appearance. Night of Holiday Lights-Friday, Dec. 5
The First Friday of December is coming up! The theme this time around is the Night of Holiday Lights! Join residents and guests of Canton in Cannon Park and beyond for music, shopping, Santa Claus and more! MUST Ministries is accepting toys at this event, and classic cars participating in the car show may bring a toy for the entry fee.
Christmas Parade-Friday, Dec. 6
The 27th annual Christmas parade will be taking place in Canton on Friday, Dec. 6. Step off is expected at 6pm from AutoZone. Parade goers will have the chance to see marching bands, funny cars, floats, catch candy, and see the big guy himself. The Canton Optimist Club puts on the parade in conjunction with the Christmas Market Place, and the Christmas Music Festival. You’ll have the chance at the Christmas Market Place from 3-6pm in Cannon Park, and then again for about an hour after the parade. The Christmas Music Festival will be taking place throughout the day on the big stage from noon until the start of the parade.
