#PlayinCanton Day a #Success

April 6, 2017

More than 1,000 people attended the city of Canton’s Parks and Recreation’s #PlayinCanton day at Etowah River Park, an event designed to highlight the area’s fitness opportunities. Residents enjoyed sampling yoga, soccer, t-ball, adult kickball, basketball, lacrosse, baseball, girls softball, flag and tackle football and more. Music and food from AngelFire7 BBQ, Girl Scout cookies and Kona Ice topped off the day. The Cherokee County School District and Service League of Cherokee County were community partners for the festivities. Photos Courtesy of Gary Mullet.

County and city officials cut the ribbon on the new Etowah River Trail.
