It’s time to mark your calendars early for May! After all it seems that May is filled with all kinds of activities in Canton.

Downtown Canton First FridayFirst Friday Canton

The first of May brings the first big activity to downtown Canton. On May 1st the First Friday theme is Dancing in the Streets featuring music from the geeks. This event takes place from 6-9pm at Cannon Park in downtown Canton. As always there are sure to be vendors and lots of activities to get involved in.

RecyclingElectronics Recycling Day

If you’ve been busy with all of your spring cleaning and just don’t know what to do with those old electronics or piles of sensitive paperwork, then this event is just for you! Bring your piles of paper that need to be shredded and your electronics that you need to safely dispose of to the City of Canton at 151 Elizabeth on May 10 from 9am-2pm. Check out the flier for more details pertaining to costs involved.

Festival of the ArtsCanton, GA

The Cherokee Art Center is putting on the 12th Annual Festival of the Arts on May 16 and 17. This event features an artist’s market, a children’s area, food and concessions, and the serenity garden area in which you can learn about and purchase locally grown plants and produce.
