In our June issue, you may remember reading about Matthew McMahon, a little boy who has osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer only diagnosed in about 400 children in the U.S. each year. Fortunately for Matthew, his tumor appears localized and has not spread. Since the discovery of his tumor, Matthew has undergone aggressive chemo treatments and was scheduled to have the tumor removed in May. Matthew and his family have been through so much since his diagnosis, juggling the challenging effects of four months of aggressive chemo in addition to working and caring for Matthew’s little sister.
A friend of the family has organized a golf tournament called Hope for Kids, set for Monday, July 14th. Everyday Angels will partner with the event in hopes of relieving some of the financial burdens ahead for the McMahon family. If you are interested in helping Matthew, you can visit the link above to donate online or send your donations to 2449 Towne Lake Parkway, Woodstock, GA 30189.
