Holly Springs Named One of Best Georgia Cities for Young Adults

May 9, 2014

Holly Springs GA InformationA new study released by Credit Donkey has named Holly Springs as the 10th best city for young adults in Georgia to live. The study looked at the 150 largest population centers across the state and took into account such factors as median pay for college graduates, the percent of residents between the age of 20 and 34, and safety.

Statistics cited by the study:

  • Median salary for college graduates is $43,389
  • 24.1% of the residents are ages 20-34.
  • Crime rate is .5 incidents per 1,000 residents.

“Less than 10,000 people live in [Holly Springs], but it hosts its own job fairs and has community gardens and cleanups. …  The best place for a young professional depends on a lot of things, from personal preferences for urban or rural living to job prospects in particular industries. But, assuming income, plenty of contact with other young people and safety are important to you, this list should offer a good place to start looking at Georgia communities.”

The full list of cities and their ranking:

  1. Pooler
  2. Sandy Springs
  3. Grovetown
  4. Smyrna
  5. Kennesaw
  6. Perry
  7. Social Circle
  8. Dunwoody
  9. Woodstock
  10. Holly Springs
