Holiday Lights of Hope Returns to Hobgood Park

December 8, 2013

Canton area informationOnce again Hobgood Park in Towne Lake will light up for the season at the second annual Holiday Lights of Hope. The elaborate display of holiday lights will be open to the public 6-10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 through Sunday, Dec. 21.  Hobgood is located at 6688 Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock.

Tickets are $10 for adults and free for children age 14 and under. This year, attendees will be able to walk through the main display with more than 500,000 LED lights, see a 30-foot Christmas light tree, a 17-foot reindeer and a 15-foot snowman family.

Other features include a Christmas maze made with more than 5,000 feet of lights, a village in which residents can visit and take photos with Santa Claus, a children’s area, vendors, concessions and live music.

The event raises money for the Anna Crawford Children’s Center in Canton, which is a private, nonprofit, community-based organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect, and protecting and serving children and families since 1989.
