The Cherokee Arts Center is in the final days of its presentation of “Crosscut: A Visual Odyssey in Photography and Art.” This exhibit features the art and photos of Bo Bice of American Idol fame in the first public showing of his work; Lisa LaRue whose work Open Doors is a photo exhibition capturing eclectic views and details of historic sites related to the band The Doors; Mark Waterbury whose collection of local and regional color, black and white and computer enhanced photography, is called PhotoArtStorm, and newcomer Mikel Estes, whose work includes paintings, drawings, and sculptures. The Arts Center, located at 94 North St. in downtown Canton, will be open for a final viewing of this exhibition from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sept. 24-27.
Sixes Living was lucky enough to be present at the Sept. 6 opening reception. Attendees had the opportunity to view all the artwork and meet the artists. The evening ended with an acoustic performance of both original and popular hits from former American Idol contestant Bo Bice.
