Celebrate Independence Day in Downtown Canton

July 2, 2014

Celebrate the Fourth of July in downtown Canton! City officials have moved the monthly First Friday event to 3-6p.m. to coincide with the city’s parade that will take place downtown in Cannon Park. The parade will start at 4:00p.m. and is hosted by the American Legion post 45. Local duo Penny Rae will be joining the celebration with a concert starting at 4:00p.m.

At 6:00p.m., the festivities will move to the Riverstone Plaza area, where DJ Ray Deluca will play music for people gathered for fireworks. There will be an area roped off for dancing, so bring comfy shoes! There will also be games, food and plenty of shopping. Parking will be designated in the plaza and in surrounding areas. For more information, visit the City of Canton’s website. Canton, GA July 4th

If you’re looking to catch other fireworks displays in Cherokee County, Woodstock will shooting off fireworks starting at dusk behind the SuperTarget shopping center at the corner of I-575 and Highway 92.

The team at Sixes Living Magazine hopes you and your family have a safe and happy Fourth!
