Canton Festival of the Arts

May 3, 2016

Go ahead and mark your calendars, our beloved Canton Festival of the Arts is May 21-22! This year will feature the artist market, a serenity garden, interactive children’s experience and, of course, food.

Artist Marketoohoo!

The ever-popular artist market will be in Canton’s historic downtown on both Saturday and Sunday. With local and regional artists showcasing everything from fine blown glass, jewelry, pottery, paintings and more, it’s something you won’t want to miss.

If you’d like to be a vendor, call 770-704-6244 or email cantonfestivalofthearts@gmail.com

Serenity Garden

Once again the event will feature a “Serenity Garden” area. This year, the Cherokee Arts Council, thanks to a generous donation from Red Bud Nursery, is proud to present master gardeners, garden clubs, local growers and beekeepers (complete with live hives and demonstrations on how honey is extracted). Merrilily Gardens, will exhibit for sale their locally grown (and stunning) flowers and ferns, as well as homemade jams, jellies and salsas. Get even more excited because this year she’s introducing her green, pickled, cocktail tomatoes and hot, crunchy pickled okra. Sweetwater Growers will be there with their award-winning herb infused oils.

Proceeds from sales in the Serenity Garden will be used to promote the arts in Cherokee County through events such as Camp Imagine for kids.

Interactive Children’s Experience

The Interactive Children’s Experience will allow them to use their hands to create their own artwork. They’ll have the opportunity to use mediums that otherwise wouldn’t be available to them. It’s a great opportunity to broaden their horizons.

If you’d like to be a vendor, call 770-704-6244 or email cantonfestivalofthearts@gmail.com.

Food and DrinksBBQ sandwich

What’s a festival without delicious, made-in-front-of-you food paired with a local brew (or juice)? Sit back, enjoy the music and try something new. The best part is if you like it, you can have it whenever your schedule permits.

If you’d like to be a vendor, fill out this form.

See you there!
