Annual PROBE College Fair Comes to Cherokee County

September 19, 2013

Cherokee County College FairCherokee High School, located at 930 Marietta Hwy. in Canton, will play host this year to the Annual PROBE College Fair for Cherokee County on Tuesday, Sept. 24. The competitive college panel starts at 5:00 p.m. and the information fair with 90 colleges and universities represented will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the gym.

With its  message to high school students and families of – “Explore the Possibilities,” PROBE is organized to stimulate interest in post-secondary education for citizens of Georgia by bringing together students, parents, counselors, administrators and representatives of nonprofit post-secondary educational institutions including but not limited to, colleges and vocational-technical schools.

The PROBE Fair provides Cherokee County high school students and their families a chance to speak one-on-one with representatives from colleges and universities in one central location.  “For many families, finding the time and resources, especially with the price of gas, to visit colleges and universities is tough,” said Bill Smith, executive director of PROBE.  “By bringing the PROBE college fair to the students, they are able to be exposed to schools they might not otherwise have a chance to experience.”

Secondary institutions who have attended previous Probe events this year include –
